The rotation speed of the shaver's face can be fixed at  
a speed between 1 to 6 revolutions/second, depending  
on the gear sets within final versions of the Spinshaver.
The models shown here are pre-production  prototypes
that were constructed from standard, available shavers
and modified  to produce the circular screen movement.

 Rotary shavers cut hair efficiently,  more or less, but  
they only cut the hairs that they can  push through the
holes or slots in perforated screens covering the sharp
cutter blades. To provide a close and completely clean
shave,  the shaver must push every single hair through
a screen opening,  regardless of its length or the angle
of its growth.   
In the past thirty years,  rotary shaver  manufacturers
have concentrated on improving the efficiencies of the
shaver's cutting elements and the ability of perforated
screens to tilt and conform to every  bump and crevice
in a man's face. The problem of getting all hair ends to
penetrate a perforated screen was left up to the users
who were merely provided with some important advice:
(1) Use the shaver for at least  3  weeks,  until it trains
  the beard to grow  in a direction that  works best for  
  a particular brand of rotary shaver and,
(2) Move the  shaver  around in circles, to get a closer
   shave.  
By now,  every rotary shaver user knows that to get a
closer shave,   you must push the  entire  shaver body
around in circles.   Unfortunately, this procedure does
not work under the jaw,  around the lips and under the
nose,  where moving the shaver around in circles is an
impossibility. The SPINSHAVER solves both problems
on its first use.
(1) There is no need to  train  the facial hair to grow in
 a new direction  just to  satisfy a new  rotary shaver.
(2) Instead of tediously moving the entire shaver body
around in circles by hand, the SPINSHAVER will move
the shaver's screens around automatically without any
effort  over the entire face,  including  under the nose.   
The revolving screen feeds every hair in its path into a
cutting element.The result is a completely clean, close
shave in one minute or less.

AN INSTANT TEST OF A SHAVER'S   
IMPROVEMENT WITH A CIRCULAR
